Julie Eldredge-Dykens

Julie Eldredge-Dykens is a Chatham artist who works in ceramics, wood and metal. She concentrates on crafting fish from clay, wood and metal. She designed the remarkably comfortable “Lobster Pot Rocker”.

Julie’s creative leanings flow from her years spent as a commercial fisherwoman. She has fished for sea scallops, bay scallops, giant Atlantic bluefin tuna, cod, haddock, pollock, lobsters and shellfish. She has an enduring fascination with the natural world (read crows and ants..) and a special interest in the Cape’s wildlife.

A life-long resident of Chatham, Julie graduated from Chatham High School and from Smith College where she majored in studio art.

Julie is a mother of three and lives with her husband, Jeffrey, in West Chatham.
